Make sure to check “Delete the driver software for this device”.Right Click on Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS.In order to remove the drivers, I opted to use Device Manager to uninstall the BT drivers: Seeing as installing the Killer Gaming Suite is an all-or-nothing affair (really, no custom install for a slimmer footprint!?), I could not just uninstall the Bluetooth Suite under Add/Remove programs. Existing mouse drivers (Intellipoint 8.2) were installed by Windows Update.Existing BT Drivers are from the Killer Gaming driver site: v1.Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth (no better mouse exists!).Killer Gaming Wireless-N 1202 Wireless Card (with Bluetooth). This situation has been EXTREMELY counter-productive over the last couple months, so I’m glad to say I’ve got at least a somewhat workable solution.

Eventually, this “trick” would fail and only turning off bluetooth entirely would restore my mouse functionality. Every few minutes or so it would stop responding entirely, then I would have to go to the Bluetooth Devices screen – this would usually kick it out of its “sleeping” state, but only temporarily. After upgrading to Windows 8.1, I started having problems with my bluetooth mouse disconnecting from my Dell XPS14 frequently.
